LIMIT YOUR LIABILITY as an Amazon Account Manager when Dealing with Listing & Account Suspensions
Hi everyone. My name is David Miller. I’m the managing attorney of our Business Law for Sellers department.
Today I want to discuss Amazon management agreements.
Now, a lot of sellers have someone that manages an account for you. If you are the manager, this video is going to be more about the perspective on the side of the manager.
If you’re managing an Amazon account, you have to be very careful about taking on 100% liability for Amazon account suspensions. We all know how often accounts are suspended. Sometimes they’re valid, oftentimes they are not. A lot of managers operate on commission. So if you’re getting 6% commission of sales, you shouldn’t be taking on 100% of liability if someone clicks a button, adds a counterfeit complaint, and then Amazon decides to shut you down.
It’s extremely important for you to limit your liability. Please don’t sign an agreement until a lawyer reviews it.
