How To Persuade Amazon’s Reinstatement Teams
Today, I’m talking about the nature of each appeals team, where I’ve found that, even though Amazon has laid out different options for sellers to appeal, it’s good to know who you’re writing to.
With the seller performance team, since they’re on the front lines, the ones sending out the performance notifications, they’re usually the ones who have the best idea of where your account is, whether it’s just an ASIN issue or whether your whole account is deactivated.
They always want to have a detailed plan of action. Detailed plans of action doesn’t necessarily mean having an appeal that ranges from five or 10 pages, but rather just the details. What the issue is, whether it’s authenticity or a condition complaint from a customer, or whether it’s an intellectual property complaint. Always identify what the issue can be.
The next is talking about the corrective actions. Did you delete the listing? Did you request invoices from the supplier and are able to provide them for Amazon? Did you give refunds to customers who were dissatisfied with the product or requested one?
The third is the preventative measures. Well, you’re showing Amazon and laying out how moving forward, you’re able to address these issues as they come about and to make sure these issues don’t happen again.
Another team that’s necessary for appealing, if that doesn’t work, is the Jeff Bezos escalation team. They usually give a more comprehensive review. So they’re slower to respond to appeals, but usually you want to give them a cover letter, reference your plan of action. That’s why it’s important to have a plan of action as a solid foundation, very detailed, very well written.
The Bezos cover letter, you want to give a summary, break down the timeline of events, and quickly touch on the issues. But most of all emphasize, hey, seller performance hasn’t responded to us or is uncooperative, not accepting our appeals. So we have to turn to your team for help.
Lastly, I advise to retain a firm such as ours to help with this, but drafting a legal letter to the Amazon legal department does work. Hope it helps with navigating the appeals and getting your account reinstated or ASIN complaint off the account. So happy to help and share this advice with you.
