BREAKING NEWS FOR AMAZON SELLERS: Homeland Security Investigating & Targeting Amazon Sellers’ Search History & Email Communications
There are certain Amazon sellers who are having their email, internet searches, and everything they do online, subpoenaed by the United States Department of Homeland Security.
I want every single Amazon seller to know that if a subpoena is issued to whoever you have your email address, whether it’s Google, whether it’s Yahoo, whether you’re old school and still have an AOL email address… You have certain rights.
Anytime there is a subpoena, or in the Department of Homeland Security they call it a summons, anytime something like that is issued, you have time to go to court and ask a judge, not the government department agency, but a real judge, to limit the subpoena power.
I don’t want to needlessly frighten anybody, but if you receive a notice from Yahoo, Google, AOL, from whoever hosts your online email address, that they’re going to turn over your information, you can contact me. If I can handle it, we will. If I can’t, we can steer you in the right direction to find a lawyer who could look through it, talk to you. You have to be open and honest. Then you could let them know whether they should or should not go to a judge and ask a judge to stop the release of your private information.
If you want to learn more about litigation issues as they pertain to Amazon sellers, litigation issues as they pertain to private label sellers or brands, you can always contact us.
You can call me on the telephone and you can also text me. So many Amazon sellers are more comfortable texting than doing anything else. So you can text me at this number 212-256-8492. We try to be available literally seven days a week. I can’t say 24 hours a day I will be available, but there are real live human beings available to help you address your Amazon issues seven days a week, 24 hours a day. You can actually speak with a human being if you need help with your Amazon issues.
