Defending your ASINs on the Amazon Platform – Intellectual Property & Inauthentic Complaints
Welcome to another AMZ Sellers’ Inside Information. I’m Jacques Lavaud. Today I’m here to talk to you about defending your ASINs.
What I mean by defending your ASIN is usually Amazon would rather you fall on the sword so to speak, so that way, the issue can get resolved and they don’t have to fight or worry about anything else. I mean, it’s an extended olive branch to you guys to let you guys know that that doesn’t always need to be the case. There are times where deleting the listing, moving your inventory, just getting rid of everything completely can help. Sometimes doing that makes it a lot easier if the problem is too difficult or if we’ve appealed multiple times and we’ve gotten no results.
But defending your ASIN, if you have a great case, you have a great argument, for example, you have an inauthentic complaint, you have the valid invoices, you have everything necessary to create a strong case, 10 times out of 10, I’m going to say, go ahead and defend the ASIN. But of course, it’s your business decision. It’s entirely up to you guys. If that’s something that you wish you want to do, by all means.
